The combustion performance level of decoration materials should be determined by testing institutions according to the following regulations. B3 level decoration materials do not need to be tested.
(1) The testing method for Class A decoration materials should comply with the current standard "Test Method for Non combustibility of Building Materials" (GB5464-85). Regardless of the type of material, as long as it meets the conditions specified in the non flammability test method, it is classified as Class A material.
(2) The test methods for B1 grade ceiling, wall, and partition decoration materials should comply with the current standard "Test Methods for Refractory Properties of Building Materials" (GB8625-88); The test method for B2 grade ceiling and wall partition decoration materials should comply with the current standard "Test Method for Flammability of Building Materials" (GB8626-88).
(3) The test methods for B1 and B2 grade floor decoration materials should comply with the current standard "Determination of Critical Radiant Flux of Flooring Materials - Radiant Heat Source Method". According to the radiation heat source method test, when the small radiation flux is greater than or equal to 0.45W/CM³, it should be classified as island level; When the small radiation flux is greater than or equal to 0.22W/CM³, it should be classified as B2 level.
(4) The test method for decorative fabrics should comply with the provisions of the current standard "Textile Fabric Flame Retardant Performance Test - Vertical Method". Decorative fabrics, tested by vertical method and meeting the conditions in Table 2-7, should be classified as B1 and B2 levels respectively.
